The state capital Aizwal is located at an altitude of 4000 ft above sea level. Standing on a high ridge surrounded on the east by the lush green deep valley of river Tlawng, and on the north protected by beautiful high craggy hill of Durtlang, it stands like a high citadel. An ideal hill station for those looking for fresh air and solitude. You can visit the Mizoram state museum, the mini zoological garden and Durtlang hills, and go for excursions to Bung, Paikhai, cool and breezy place for a  few days.
